Aishatu Ibrahim K. Bura
Born in the 60’s in North East, Borno State to be precise, Aisha is a committed civil servant and journalist.
Having a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass communication with a practice spanning over 25 years, i have been involved in representations and advocacies on a diverse range of societal humanitarian issues aimed at contributing to the protection, Education and assistance of Persons of Concern (POCs) including Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs), individuals who have been victims of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (GBV) and polio eradication awareness campaign to children and vulnerable people who have minimal understanding of the polio vaccines.
As a passionate Journalist, enthusiastic learner and avid read, my daily routine amongst other things include the facilitation of trainings in the area of communication, writing reports, presentation of programs on radio and television as well as anchoring discussions programs on a wide range of issues that touch our daily lives.
I was the immediate past vice president Zone E of the Nigerian Union of Journalists covering North East of Nigeria which gave me the platform to participate in a wide range of programs including workshops, meetings and advocacies… this is in addition to being the information officer of Borno State Pilgrims welfare Board. Combining both afore-listed positions provides a forte for personal and career advancement as in my capacity, I provide advices, design and develop culture sensitive IEC materials, shape organizational focus and advice on programs standpoints for leadership and institutional direction in all Circumstances.
I enjoy reading, travelling, meeting people as well as cooking good dishes.
